如何看英英字典中的解釋

decorate內有個用法他是這樣解釋的，
decorate something to be placed on something in order to make it look more attractive
decorate something 這在字典內有用粗體表示

那這到底要表達什麼 ?

其實他應該要再加個等號之類會比較好
decorate something = to be placed on something in order to make it look more attractive
這樣就很清楚拉，等號兩邊的動作是表一個相同的情況
不過眼尖的你不知有沒有發現be placed是被動@@...
沒錯 ! 在這樣的句型中，即使動詞是主動，但主詞還是以被動情況發生的喔 !
